da aviator aposta: Liverpool face West Ham on Wednesday as they look to go 19 points ahead at the top of the Premier League.
da realbet: The clash against the Hammers has been postponed since December due to the Reds’ participation in the Club World Cup, meaning that this will now bring them level on games played with all the other sides in the division.
Several players have recently returned from injuries to Jurgen Klopp’s squad, including Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Fabinho, so the 52-year-old has some big decisions to make when selecting his side.
Call yourself a Liverpool expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?
Here, we try to predict his starting XI.
In goal, Alisson returns. Adrian was between the sticks against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, but with the Brazil international being Klopp’s first choice, he returns to the side.
The back four should also see plenty of changes. After not featuring against Salop on Sunday, Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold should be refreshed and ready to return to the starting line-up. At centre-back, expect to see Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez come back in. Lovren and Matip were at the heart of the defence in the cup, but neither covered themselves in glory as they allowed their League One opponents to score twice.
In midfield, Jordan Henderson should reclaim his defensive role. Fabinho returned to the starting XI against Shrewsbury, but he looked rusty and the captain’s recent form in that role – he has been tipped to win Player of the Year thanks to his displays – means that he deserves to re-take his place. Slightly in front of him, expect Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Georginio Wijnaldum to start. Naby Keita was on the bench in that last match, but it is too soon for him to play 90 minutes.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were both thrown into the fray late on at the weekend, but they were unable to clinch a victory for their side. Here, they should both return to the XI. Sadio Mane, though, who was not even in the squad at New Meadow, will not be available, Klopp has confirmed. As such, Curtis Jones could be given his role on the left flank. Whilst he played in midfield against Shrewsbury – and scored – he has 12 goals in 14 matches on the left so far for the club’s youth teams this term, which may see him be given the nod.
Meanwhile, one man will have enjoyed Dejan Lovren’s display against Shrewsbury.
