According to the Italian report, Liverpool are in discussions with Lazio regarding the availability of their Brazilian centre-half Wallace.
The 22-year-old, who is valued at £7.65million by Transfermarkt is reportedly not the only player from Lazio who Liverpool are keen to sign. Stefan De Vrij is also on the Anfield clubs’ radar according to the report.
How good was Wallace last season?
Having joined the Serie A club in the summer of 2016 from Monaco, much was expected of the youngster, considering his €8million price tag.
While he featured in 30 games for Lazio in all competitions, Wallace never truly impressed and was often overshadowed by his defensive partner Stefan De Vrij.
However, the 22-year-old undoubtedly has a bright future ahead of him. The perfect modern day defender, Wallace is tall, lightning quick and can play with the ball at his feet. The managerial tutelage of someone like Jurgen Klopp could transform Wallace from an also ran into a winner.
Would Wallace be a good signing for Liverpool?
