da 888: Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur are back in the market for Ipswich Town talent Andre Dozzell, according to The Mirror.
What’s the word?
Tottenham did not sign a single player in the summer transfer window and Mauricio Pochettino is ensuring he does not take the same stance when the market reopens in January, as he lines-up a move for a young talent.
The Daily Mirror states Spurs are back in the hunt for Ipswich Town talent Andre Dozzell and will go toe-to-toe with arch-rivals Arsenal for the services of the 19-year-0ld, who has just returned from a lengthy injury lay-off.
Dozzell made his return from a 13-month absence in Ipswich’s defeat to Middlesbrough last week and Premier League clubs are now set to keep a close eye on his performances once again, with Spurs amongst those eyeing a swoop.
What can he offer?
Son of former Tottenham ace Jason Dozzell, the teenager already has close ties to Spurs and Pochettino will be looking to capitalise on those links in the market as he hunts for a player who can develop into a first-team asset in North London.

Dozzell, who has played for England at numerous youth team levels, made his breakthrough in 2016 as a 16-year-old and scored on his debut against Sheffield Wednesday. Further first-team action followed before a ligament injury sustained on the opening day of the 2017-18 season ruled him out for the entirety of the campaign.
Naturally an attacking midfielder, Dozzell would have to improve significantly if he were to dislodge Christian Eriksen or Dele Alli from Spurs’ side and a move in January would perhaps be premature on Pochettino’s part, although signing him from Ipswich and sending him back on loan until the end of the campaign could work.
