da mrbet: According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are keen to sign Dundee ace Glen Kamara in the upcoming January transfer window, with Frank Lampard’s Derby County and Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic also possibly interested in the 23-year-old.
What’s the story?
As per the aforementioned report, Celtic held an interest in Kamara during the summer, but it is now Rangers who are leading the charge for his signature.
After a positive start to life under Gerrard, the Gers currently find themselves at the top of the table, having so far managed to capitalise on the Bhoys’ uncharacteristically uncertain start to the campaign. If they’re to keep it up though, and deliver that long-awaited title to Ibrox Stadium, then Gerrard has to bolster his ranks in January.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
The addition of Kamara would be a wise one, and would give an extra dimension to the Teddy Bears’ midfield contingent heading into the second half of the campaign.
One step closer
Kamara came through the academy at Arsenal, but only ever made one senior appearance for the Gunners. Kamara didn’t really get his breakthrough into regular senior football until he joined Dundee in 2017.
Since then, the 7-cap Finland international hasn’t looked back as he’s gone from strength to strength at Dens Park.
Now, the No. 8 looks ready to take the next step up, and joining the Gers would represent exactly that. If he could translate his current form to Ibrox then Gerrard’s side would be one step closer to what could be an historic triumph of a season.
