da 888casino: The refereeing appointments for the Premier League this weekend were made on Tuesday, and seeing Kevin Friend’s name next to Brighton’s for their clash against Bournemouth at the Amex Stadium should have been music to the ears of manager Chris Hughton.
Following their defeat against 18th-placed Southampton prior to their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City, the Seagulls are bang in trouble in the Premier League and just five points above 18th-placed Cardiff City.
With the Bluebirds facing fellow strugglers Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday followed by a trip to the Amex on Tuesday night, Hughton will know that his side can’t afford to slip up against another south coast opponent in the Cherries.

No referee who has officiated in matches involving them on more than one occasion this season has a better record when it comes to a points-per-game average, as per WhoScored, with three of the four fixtures ending in victory for the Seagulls.
Those included successes against West Ham United and arch-rivals Crystal Palace with, amazingly, all of those also coming on their own patch too where they are again of course on Saturday.
The only reverse came against Liverpool back in January where a 1-0 defeat was certainly not unexpected, and Hughton will be hoping that Friend proves to be a lucky omen for his men again so they can move a step closer to securing their spot in the Premier League for another year.
