Tottenham are thought to be in the process of negotiating the sale of Steven Pienaar to Everton according to The Daily Mail.
The South African winger has had a limited impact at the White Hart Lane club, and spent the second half of last season back on loan on Merseyside.
With new manager Andre Villas Boas looking to shake-up his squad, the African midfielder is said to be surplus to requirements in the coach’s thinking.
Pienaar is a popular figure at Goodison Park and David Moyes is certainly keen to keep the playmaker on a permanent basis.
The two Premier League clubs have been in negotiations to try and reach a deal, with Bill Kenwright and Daniel Levy talking to try and thrash out an agreement that both parties are happy with.
The fee is believed to be in the £5 million region, which Tottenham would use to buy new players.
